When it's Quiet It's Never Good
If you can hear them you can monitor them.
After dinner this evening the child disappeared upstairs and we thought she was in her room drawing or playing or some other harmless thing.
We were wrong.
As the title states, she was quiet and it was not good.
It could have been a lot worse like finding scissors and cutting her own hair, but this was still a bit messy.
I went upstairs and I heard water running in the bathroom. I turned the corner to enter the bathroom and saw 2 things.
She was pantless. If I had to guess, she got water on them playing in the sink so she decided to take them off instead of thinking that this wasn’t such a good idea and she should stop before dear old dad finds her. (I found her)
She had made “hot cocoa” from the sink water a few interesting ingredients:
She has these dry erase markers that were explained to her that these markers are for the dry erase board only and not to be used for nail polish or god knows what else.
She used them for god knows what else.
She managed to pull all the erasers off these and was using them as marshmallows for her hot cocoa creation. She was adding “sugar” to the cocoa by trying to get the ink out of a purple magic marker.
So ya. We’re done here. It’s bedtime - Go!
I told her that she knows better than to play with the water anywhere unless it’s the bathtub and that playtime was over and she had to go put on her PJ’s and get ready for bed.
Whomever started that saying of children being seen and not heard - I disagree. I would much rather hear them so I have an idea of what they’re up to without having to keep an eye on them all the time, becase that is exhausting.
Also if anybody wants some slightly used dry erase markers that are missing the caps and the eraser part: hit me up - I’ve got you.
Constantly mopping up messes,
TH and Co.
