The First Snow
FYI: Christmas is NOW because there's snow on the ground.
We woke up to the first snow today.
We had to run to the window to see how much snow we were talking about exactly.
Answer: Not much - about 2 inches.
She was too excited to eat. I think she may have had 2 spoonfuls of cereal, but she gets a lunch at school so a lot of times she eats when she gets there, which is good.
There was no trouble getting dressed even though were were cramped for time she was actually early because she wanted to get outside as fast as possible to play in the snow.
Pink Boots, Winter Coat and cheap gloves from the dollar store and she was out the door about 7 minutes early and you think it was a blizzard with all the fun and snow tossing up in the air that happened.
The bus rolled up and she crawled up the steps to start her day.
When she got home from school she had it in her head that she needed to make a restaurant. The menu is a bit sparse but sometimes these are the best places to go.
for those that can’t deciper, the menu reads:
MENU
Hot Cocoa
cookie dough pudding
pb and banana (sandwiches, I would imagine?)
oranges and apples
coffee.
I ordered a coffee and the apples and she seemed find with this.
Tomorrow, she has the day off school for Veterans Day so we’ve got plans other than youtube kids all day 1
We are going to play board games all day and then in the afternoon we’re going to have a tea party with some knoppers.
The other morning, I get woken to: “Dad, what are noopers?”
ummm.. I have no idea.
She repeats it over and over again because asking again will help me usnderstand. She guides me to the pantry and she shows me this six-pack of knoppers. I guess they’re some sort of pastry/wafer thing but whatever they are we’re going to be eating them tomorrow afternoon.
As always bedtime was a little bit of struggle. We are in the season of “just one more thing” that she wants to do before PJ’s/Teeth/Bed.
“I just have to”…
tuck in my stuffies
writet this down
fix my office. (she has an office?)
create a game for tomorrow’s game day.
NO.
This is dad’s to-do list for you:
GO TO BED!!!
Looking for gloves that match,
TH and Co.
don’t get excited. There will be some videos still. Nobody said I was parent of the year.
