She Cleaned Her Room
In our house, this is news.
It’s her space. I get it.
But that doesn’t mean that she can trash the place and it would not hurt for her to pick up the socks and books and crayons and blankets and stuffed animals so we can see the floor once again.
Yes, it was that bad.
I missed this today because I was out, but BW duked it out with the child and won the stubborn war and for that alone BW should get an award.
I’m told that there was just a wee bit of protesting by the child along with stomping and just an overall fit mixed with a whole lot of protest. Lesser people would have caved (me) but BW is also determined at times and the child had no idea what she was in for. Dad caves a lot faster than Mom and that was the lesson today.
The child kicked and screamed and asked over and over again for Huggies but Mom held her ground and once all the kicking and screaming and whining stopped the child realized the futility of it all and…
She cleaned her room.
Then she got all the “huggies” she needed and all was well again in our universe
When I came home I immediately ran the robot vacuum1 because I never know if or when I will see her bedroom floor again - talk about a limited time offer.
Today’s Lesson: Listen to your mother. It’s not worth the fight.
Keeping it clean here,
TH and Co.
I know. I have a problem.
