Nothing Much is Going On

Or so I thought until I started to write it all down.

It’s easy when asked “what’s new?” to make the reply as “nothing”.

But then I realized that during a day of “nothing” we do a whole lot and then I come downstairs to write about it.

I’ve been writing about nothing for over a year now.

Today, our nothing conisted of:

• The weather is odd. I was 15 minutes away and it was sunny and bright, meanwhile here it was blizzard like conditions.

• The child created a background using 2 big sheets of paper to hang on the wall and then did not one but two dances to songs on her phone while we clapped and cheered from the couch.

• She painted with mommy.

• I got asked for more tape. I gave the child yet another roll of tape

• Mommy bought a new dresser for her room only to get there and realize that it would not fit. Because there are still good people out there, the seller is going to deliver it to us for free.

• The robot vacuum got stuck on the mat upstairs and so the child decided she had to be on “robot watch” and got dressed into her costume because one cannot watch the robot vacuum without being properly dressed.

• I had to dress up as well, and I had a veterinarian costume around my neck as a scarf.

• in anticipation for the new dresser we moved a few things around and what was an end table became a “School Desk” for her to write and play as seen in the photo at the top of the page

• I ran the robot vacuum around the entire house ¹

• I had a nap. ²

• I washed the curtains and scrubbed a toaster oven

• I played “make a house out of magnetic tiles” challenge where Mommy was the judge. I lost.

• We decided that the Perogies we had for dinner needed a lot more filling in them than what they shipped with. Shrinkflation at it’s finest.

• I have chased a little girl into the bed and told them they are not scared and they just need to go to sleep more than I would have liked tonight.

• We planned our upcoming trip later this week. She’s so excited she could burst.

• We had a good day today.

So, ya. Nothing much happened today.
