TL, we raised up three sons. We were blessed with a granddaughter 19 years ago. She got to spend every week after Christmas for many years with us and a lot of summers also. I think the most enjoyment that I had from when she was the age of your daughter. She and I would go shopping, it did not matter if it was the grocery store, home improvement store, farm supply store to get dog food or any other type of store. She would always find something to look at and discuss it with me. Some days she and I would be gone all day. Now that make her grandmother upset even knowing what a great time we always had. My wife said many times now I know why we were never blessed with a daughter as you would have spoiled her rotten.
Oh, we have reached spoiled rotten here. I'm a sucker for her and both BW and the child know it. Oddly, we can go through the stores and she never really wants to take anything home with her for the most part, but the grocery store is mind-blowing and impossible to get any shopping done all at the same time.
