We definitely have had different teen experiences. I had ZERO adult supervision and some of the results were to be expected. 🙂

Back in the 60's I did not have a curfew. My sister's would ask why does Houdini not have a curfew? My dad informed them that if Houdini is not going to be back home to sleep he will call and let me know even if it's past midnight. He is always at school and never missed work and always shows up for church. Believe it or not this is what my teenage years were like.

I remember when you had to go home to make a phone call or find a quarter for the pay phone. And listening to your missed calls on the old school answering machine 🙌❤️🔥

In 1963, I was a long distance telephone operator for Bell Telephone …the ONLY phone company. If you wanted to talk to Uncle Bob in Chicago (or LA, or NYC), you had to dial “0” for operator and I would dial your uncle’s number for you AND time the length of your call, for Billing.

I remember a guy I knew back in Hamilton that would just unplug his phone when he didn't want to talk with anyone... Can you imagine ? 😉
